In this post , I am going to Percy Jackson Series , the book is written the Myth master Rick Riordan.


This book is the first book of the series.

Review on 

Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief 

#1 Book of series of Percy Jackson series.

Short summary

The book is about a kid named Percy Jackson who doesn't seems to focus on his studies. He is sent to the boarding school. He goes to trip from his boarding school in a museum, where his math teacher becomes a monster tries to attack (kill) him. 


When Percy's mom finds out, she knows it is time to tell him the truth what he is , from where he came and he has to go to a place where he could be safe. 
She tries to tell him the truth but it is to late. He was sent to the camp for demigods, known as Camp Half Blood by his undercover satyr friend . He also makes friend with the daughter of Athena. He was kept in the cabin of Hermes till his godly parent is not identified. But as the fight training , when he gets injured he got healed by the water and that was when everyone thought that he is the son of Poseidon.

But there is a problem the Big three took the oath not have any children as there is a Great Prophecy in the Last book. 
 The Prophecy is -

A Half Blood of the eldest Gods,

Shall turn Sixteen against all odds,

And see the World in the Endless Sleep.

The Hero's soul , the cursed blade shall reap,

A Single Choice shall end his days,

Olympus to preserve or raze.  

The Prophecy is hinted from the first book only. As the Big Three were The Most Powerful Gods. And there children will have the hereditary powers. There are cabins given to the demigods according to their godly parents. The cabin of Big Three is Empty because of the Oath.

He is given a quest to complete and 
he visits the Oracle of Delphi 
as she gives the prophecy -  

          

You Will go west,and face the god who has turned,

  You shall find what is stolen, and see it safely returned,

You shall be betrayed by one who calls you friend,

And you shall fail to save what matter most, in the end.

So this was the short summary on the book.

This series is mostly based on the Greek Mythology.

I really liked this book it is a interesting book , it is filled with adventures and monsters.

It is a book filled with suspense where anything can happen. 
The answer to the mysteries will be there from where you didn't even expect.
so If you are a Child who like to read the books with adventure, suspense , monsters and most of all book related to Greek Mythology.
The Mythology which I respect.

And if you read one of the books of the series , you will definitely want to read next.
The Greek Mythology is a very Complex and interesting Mythology , which I really love.
